Summary
The primary purposes of the Manager - Port Profitability and Optimization are to manage End to End Glovis port profitability analysis and improvement implementation process. This position will also support port development projects with various financial and operational analysis and planning.
Responsibilities
- Port Operations
- Summarize monthly financial key results of ports and formulate improvements to increase profitability
- Summarize monthly operational performance of ports and formulate improvements to increase productivity
- Analyze variance between actual vs business plan, month to month and conduct root cause analysis
- Monitor the current business trends and provide forecast analysis upon request
- Analyze the data and produce summary information for Executives to incorporate into the decision making • Produce ad-hoc reports as needed basis
- Create KPIs and establish baseline for operational and transactional processes
- Monitor and analyze KPI variance and conduct root cause analysis
- Create internal controls to ensure financial transactions are conducted in compliance with KSOX
- Process improvement projects
- Document SOP and policies and procedures
- Maintain managerial and operational reports
- Special projects as assigned
Compensation
$101,000 - $113,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
- Financial planning & analysis concepts and practices required
- Proficient PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- PowerBI experience preferred
- Excellent time management and organizational skills required
- Experience using database management systems preferred
- Process improvement methodology preferred
Education & Experience
- Assosicate's Degree or higher Required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 7 - 10 Years of Accounting, Billing, Financial Analysis, and/or Vehicle Logistics Direct Experience Required
- 8 - 13 Years of Direct Experience Preferred
- 2 Years of Indirect Experience Required
- 4 Years of Indirect Experience Preferred
- 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
- 4 - 7 Years of Supervisory Experience Preferred
