Summary
The Senior IT Administrator is responsible for supporting the daily operation of the IT infrastructure environment at the West Point, GA facility, and will be domiciled there. Additionally, this position will provide IT support to the Montgomery, AL facility in the event of the primary IT personnel's absence, and will regularly travel between the two sites. Primary responsibilities include operational incident response, network/telecom issue coordination/response, assistance with end-users including all IT hardware/software, support with IT initiatives/projects, vendor relationship management, asset management, and more.
Responsibilities
- Administration of corporate networks, server systems, VoIP, security hardware and software including LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, SSH, etc
- Coordination and administration of mobile device management for PDAs, tablets, etc
- Monitor network/system failures/performance and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Coordinate escalated troubleshooting of systems' issues ensuring that proper resources are engaged and incident/issue ticket is updated regularly. Communicate status to management
- Create, update and maintain inventory of all server systems including virtual machines and dedicated servers
- Create, update and maintain monitoring and alerting of servers and critical IT infrastructure using monitoring and alerting tools
- Create, update and maintain site IT documentation including physical and logical diagrams, systems information, etc
- Act as a liaison between vendors and IT team members to assist with keeping requests/tasks on target
- Assist with and coordinate asset management for all IT related assets at Savannah and related sites
- Administration of support agreements, maintenance agreements and extended warranties on IT assets
- Coordinate new and existing IT department projects. Maintain project documentation, budget and payments
- Advise team members on technical issues and provides end user technical support
- Participate in escalated desktop support issues ensuring root cause documentation
- Under IT management direction, assists with the preparation of device procurement proposals including preparation of detailed purchase requests
- Manages payment obligations for each
- Research for the enhancement and improvement of IT network and VoIP systems providing suggestions and ideas to management
- Create, update and maintain Disaster Recovery process documentation for all sites and ensure process is up to date at all times
- Assist with planning, scheduling and carrying out Disaster Recovery training exercises for all sites
- Create, update and maintain IT Department Policy and Corporate Security Policy documentation
- Assist with planning, scheduling and carrying out Security awareness training for all employees
- Administration of vendor contracts ensuring all are up to date. Evaluation of vendors’ performance and report as needed
- Obtain budget approvals and process department invoices
- Train users about new systems and software and advise team members on technical issues
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation Range
$69,000- $78,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Qualifications
Skills Required
- Knowledge of LAN, WLAN, WAN, TCP/IP, SSH, SSL, DHCP, DNS, VPN, FTP, SFTP Required
- Knowledge of MS Windows 10/11, AD DS Required
- Knowledge of Powershell, IIS, MMC Required
- Ability to understand and collaborate with other departments on projects/systems development Required
- Proven reliability and very dependable Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Required

- Excellent skills in using PCs Required
- Office/Microsoft 365 administration and familiarity Required
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma Required
- Bachelors Degree Preferred
- 5-8 Years of Experience in Information Technology or IT Infrastructure Required
- 6-9 Years of Experience in Information Technology or IT Infrastructure including Networking / Project Management Preferred
- CompTIA A /Network /Security , CCNA, MCSA License or Certification Preferred
