Summary
This position must conduct safe and efficient vehicle movement and parking as wel as conduct preparations on new factory condition fleet vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Identify fleet units in inventory and move to centralized location for prepping
- Maintain constant contact with the Team Leader and keep track of pickup and drop off locations
- Inspect vehicles to ensure that it is damage free and functioning correctly before driving the vehicle
- Drive new finished product vehicles to designated locations
- Drive and then park vehicles per the Transportatioin & Handling Manual
- Drive vehicles following a set schedule or route
- Perform tire pressure checks using a hand-held pressure gauge to meet fleet vehicle requirements
- Follow all Port traffic policies and posted speed limits
- Ensure units are moving in a timely and efficient manner
- Any unsafe conditionis or road hazards encountered must be reported to management
- If the vehicle develops mechanical difficulties or sustains damage of any type the driver must document the problem(s) and report to the supervisor or manager
- Read and understand parking location maps
- Drive vehicles to the fueling stations and through automated car washes
- Remove trash from vehicles
- Complete all required checklists
- Follow established guidelines and work safely
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment
- Follow all policies and procedures regarding safety
- All other duties or tasks as assigned by the leadership team
Qualifications
Skills
- Requires flexibility with schedule including break times as well as working extended hours, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read and write and to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to drive both automatic and stick shift vehicles
- Ability to record and verify numbers 17 characters in length
- Understand and perform basic math functions
- Must have demonstrated mechanical abilities
- Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination
- Must have a general knowledge of automobile components
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/G.E.D
- Must hold a clear MVR and valid state-issued driver's license without restrictions
- 1 year of experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to frequently stand, bend, climb, squat, and lift up to 30lbs

This position works in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting.
