Transportation Sr. Specialist
Department : Transportation
Reports to : Transportation Manager
The Transportation Sr. Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of logistics and transportation to ensure timely delivery of all loads to their destinations. This role involves monitoring all aspects of logistics, including the review and logistics analyses. The Sr. Specialist will maintain the transportation equipment management process, including urgent repair requests and manage weekly closing for equipment repair costs. Key responsibilities include maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance, conducting regular audits of our tractors and trailers, and enhancing the transportation equipment management. The Sr. specialist will negotiate maintenance contract, analyze repair costs and establish service goals and standards.
Responsibilities :
- Manage Class 8 fleet and equipment repair and regular maintenance through the service provider. Ensure equipment availability or source rental equipment.
- Monitoring of all loads to ensure timely delivery to destinations without the maintenance issues.
- Review and approval of maintenance analysis, contractor bid analysis.
- Processing invoices and maintaining records for repair costs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance contractor to implement policies and procedures.
- Manage and coordinate overall DOT transportation activities.
- Review of claim processing and finalizing for all level damages.
- Establish Maintenance service goals and standards; set measurement criteria.
- Analysis of cost and profit / Improving operation procedure for Cost saving.
- Manage and operate assets (trucks trailers and chassis) more efficiently.
- Collaborate with other TR section managers to implement policies and procedures.
- Manage monthly Carrier Safety meeting (Accidents, Incidents, current issues etc.)
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly asset audits.
- Other duties as assigned.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $65,500 -$73,000. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
