We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician with expertise in fiber optics, cabling, and power systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting critical infrastructure within the data center, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, terminate, and test fiber optic and copper cabling (CAT6, CAT6a, MPO, etc.).
- Perform structured cabling tasks, including cable routing, dressing, and labeling for neat and organized installations.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues related to cabling and fiber optics.
- Ensure proper power distribution , including rack-level PDU installations, UPS systems, and grounding compliance.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and upgrades to power and cooling systems within the data center.
- Collaborate with network engineers and system administrators to support deployments and troubleshoot issues.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to industry best practices for cabling and power management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of cable layouts, power circuits, and infrastructure changes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, ESD precautions, and data center security policies .
