Position Title : RF Drive Tester

Project : San Francisco Bay Area

Grade : E5

Pay : $25 - $29 p / h, W2, all travel expenses paid

Reports To : Project Manager or Team Lead

Working Hours : 8-to-12-hour shifts in a 24 X 7 schedule. Plan on working nights.

Summary :

We are seeking an RF Drive Tester, to work on a long-term project in the SF Bay Area. All candidates must be local or within 2 hours of the SF Bay Area market.

You will collect cellular network baseline data, including vector surveys, for sensitive customers, and file reports back to company HQ. This position is intended for a senior level, self-sufficient drive test engineer or technician,

This job is a good fit for people who :

Are experienced Drive Testers who are seeking a good job opportunity to put their NEMO and TEMS
Understand electronics, radio signal theory and cellular communications.
Computer literate : MS Outlook, Word and Excel, GPS navigation, and file transfer protocol.
Can quickly master new business and technology software programs such as technical cellular phone applications.
Clean driving record. Three TICKETS in the last three years will disqualify you!
Have no travel, driving or workday restrictions and can drive at night for an extended time.
Are very flexible in work hours and locations.

Compensation :

Rental car is provided

Gasoline expense is reimbursed

Essential Functions :

Use TEMS and NEMO equipment to perform drive testing and in-building testing

Begin working the job quickly and work independently with little supervision

Collect propagation and signal measurement data for the analysis of RF performance

Measure field data for the base station to identify RF signals frequencies and respective power levels

Collect RF data using TEMS Pocket, while walking in the customer facility

Follow test plans, follow test site scheduling, understand equipment calibration and setup, RF signal measurement and basic data analysis.

Work independently days or nights to gather relevant RF data, as required by the project

Other Functions :

Independently plan routes and manage time required to execute the amount of work that is planned for the project timeline (day / week)

Quickly learn and retain relevant system knowledge through applied learning, reading standards documents or other documentation, and review test plan documents

Resolve basic computer problems with navigation and data collection software

Apply basic RF theory fundamentals to solving field problems

Work Environment :

Extended hours in a vehicle with a driver

40 hour workweek

Work on day shift or night shift as needed

Anticipate a stressful work environment

Some in-building testing

Overnight hotel stays as needed

Requirements :

Must be 21 or older

Must be available for deployment

Must be based in or near the specified work location

Current driver’s license, current car insurance

Excellent driving record - with at least 2 years’ driving experience in the USA

College desired, high school Graduate or GED, required

Must be proficient with TEMS and NEMO

Familiar other comprehensive RF data collection tools is a plus

Must have good Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills

Flexible; travel throughout the market is required, as needed

Willing to work aggressive schedules, including night and weekend shifts

Must be able to pass standard background check including drug screen, and driving record

Good written and verbal English language communication skills

Other duties as assigned
