Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in dental or orthodontic billing, collections, and insurance?
We’re seeking a reliable and experienced Insurance & Billing Coordinator to join our dynamic team at a well-established and busy orthodontic office. This role is essential to keeping our financial operations running smoothly and ensuring our patients receive the care they need with transparency and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform insurance verification, including eligibility, coverage, and orthodontic benefits
- Submit insurance claims accurately and follow up on outstanding claims and denials
- Handle all aspects of patient billing, including private pay collections
- Review and follow up on aging reports and daily credit card transactions
- Proactively follow up on past due balances and communicate payment obligations with patients
- Generate and send payment reminder letters and delinquency notices to patients
- Manage dismissal process for non-compliant accounts, following office policy and patient communication standards
- Collaborate closely with front desk and clinical team to ensure financial clarity and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in dental or orthodontic billing and insurance coordination
- Strong understanding of dental insurance claims, orthodontic benefits, and collections procedures
- Proficiency with OpenDental is a plus
- Exceptional follow-up and communication skills
- Professional, respectful, and tactful when handling financial conversations with patients
- High level of accuracy, accountability, and time management skills
