Job Description:
At Glow YMCA, we are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Before and After School Child Care Staff. This part-time position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to make a positive impact in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement curriculum within established guidelines
• Design and implement daily lesson/activity plans
• Supervise children, classroom, and all activities
• Conduct parent conferences and maintain positive relationships with parents
• Maintain program site and equipment
• Participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and training
Essential Qualifications:
• Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law
• School Age Child Care Clearance per NYS regulations as required
• At least 18 years of age to work in Prime Time and Child Watch
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and New Employee Orientation and Child Abuse prevention training within 60 days of hire date
• Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred
