Job Overview Grand Lake Smart Wiring and GLSW Marketing Services is on the hunt for a skilled and motivated Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of equipping homes and businesses with cutting-edge technology. This role includes installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various cabling and tech systems, all while delivering outstanding service to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling, including Ethernet, phone lines, internet, and coaxial cables for antennas.
- Mount and program rooftop antennas, Smart TVs, speakers, and surround sound systems.
- Set up home entertainment centers, POS systems, WI-FI towers, extenders, and bridges, ensuring complete WI-FI coverage across homes, outbuildings, boat docks, and marinas.
- Install and program hard-wired and VOIP phone systems for private homes, businesses, churches, and schools.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with TVs, internet, phone systems, and WI-FI networks, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.
- Provide wreck-out services to tidy, remove, or conceal cabling, and dispose of waste materials responsibly.
- Collaborate with construction companies to deliver full-service wiring solutions for new homes and construction sites.
- Partner with realtors to upgrade homes for sale and troubleshoot client concerns.
- Install and program smart devices for homes, businesses, and outbuildings, ensuring seamless integration.
- Custom-build PCs and repair both laptops and PCs with precision.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in telecommunications, cabling, or as a service technician is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with smart home devices, entertainment systems, and networking hardware is highly desirable.
- Strong cabling systems, computer networking, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
- Outstanding communication skills for seamless collaboration with clients and team members.
- Ability to work both independently in the field and as part of a cohesive team.
