About The Role:
The AVP of Tech Employee Experience (EmployeeEx) is like the Chief Happiness Officer of IT! You get to throw the best office parties, organize team-building events, and ensure every IT employee has a great experience from hire to retire. A key responsibility of the EmployeeEx team will be to design and implement tech-driven experience programs that enhance our tech brand, drive a developer focused work environment and support a culture of continuous learning. Through partnerships with IT Learning, Talent Development, HR and Talent Acquisition, the individual in this role will monitor and evaluate the impact of EmployeeEx programs on employee satisfaction, retention, and performance, as well as on new hire experience and talent pipelines. In addition, the AVP of Tech Employee Experience will collaborate with other leaders and stakeholders across the organization to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to EmployeeEx and build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as vendors, consultants, and industry experts, who can support and enhance the strategy.

- Grow our Tech EmployeeEx Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a robust external talent brand and internal employee experience strategy specifically tailored to technologists and the tech sector. Inclusive of, but not limited to:
- Creating opportunities for local tech teams to connect and build relationships with each other
- Driving our continuous learning culture through in-person events like Hack-a-thons and live conference streaming
- Building the strategy around sponsorship and employee participation in key tech conferences to drive our external talent brand
- Growing our tech new hire experience to create a great onboarding experience for everyone in IT
- Partnership Building: Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with external organizations, including tech associations, industry events, educational institutions, and diversity-focused groups.
- Collaborate closely with these partners to access talent pipelines and enhance our employer reputation within the tech community.
- Lead and develop a team of employee experience specialists who can help you execute your strategy and programs utilizing Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban or Scaled Agile)
- Strong understanding of tech talent trends, competitor landscape, and best practices across the employee experience lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to build and nurture relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and industry influencers.
- Ability to plan and execute tech-driven events for internal and external audiences
- Demonstrated experience building or maintaining new hire programs and onboarding
- Strong communication and influence skills, with an eye for detail and a keen ability to organize, move, select, synthesize, summarize and edit information to make it effective
- Past experience working or leading an Agile pod, utilizing a customer-driven mindset
Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent practical experience required
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible work experience required
- 3-5 years management or leadership experience required
