The Intern - Privacy will perform analysis of privacy related matters of the corporation and assist in day to day operational aspects.
We are looking for students interested in auto finance, data protection, and privacy to support the privacy team, who are ready to take on stimulating projects and gain exposure to a variety of industry initiatives.

JOB DUTIES:
- Assist in research, review, analysis, drafting and approval of various documents, policies, procedures and obligations to which the company is or may become a party.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (including Legal, Cyber Security, and Marketing) on various business initiatives to assess whether data collection and usage practices are compliant, while also operationalizing privacy best practices and requirements.
- Assist attorneys and data privacy managers with ensuring corporate compliance with all relevant privacy and cybersecurity related matters including researching and reviewing new privacy laws, requirements and regulations.
- Promote privacy within the organization by creating awareness materials such as slide decks or articles.
- Participate in required Intern events on a monthly basis.
Qualifications
Knowledge
- Knowledge of privacy and cybersecurity related concepts, best practices, and regulations and laws preferred.
Skills
- Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with corporate personnel, customers, contractors, consulting attorney's, and the general public.
- Ability to express facts and ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Analytical ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- High level of personal integrity, with the ability to professionally handle confidential matters.
- Strong interest in policies and processes relating to data protection and privacy.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications software.
Experience
- Currently pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in Law, Pre-Law, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
- Auto finance experience and/or privacy related experience a plus.
