The Sr Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for providing support, guidance, and oversight for a variety of Cybersecurity initiatives, projects, and teams; while enhancing transparency, efficiency, alignment and reporting between key stakeholders and Cybersecurity. This includes strategic planning, executive reporting, issue management, and identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies across the Cybersecurity organization.

The Sr Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for providing support, guidance, and oversight for a variety of Cybersecurity initiatives, projects, and teams; while enhancing transparency, efficiency, alignment and reporting between key stakeholders and Cybersecurity. This includes strategic planning, executive reporting, issue management, and identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies across the Cybersecurity organization.
The Sr Cybersecurity Analyst (Governance & Oversight) has four main functions:
- Governance: Provide governance and oversight of key initiatives from intake through completion while managing associated workloads and resource demands. Manage operational dashboards that provide real-time key metrics for resources and efforts.
- Executive Reporting: Report on key Cybersecurity efforts with associated timelines, risks, dependencies, and issues.
- Escalation Support: Coordinate and support escalated issues, urgent timelines, and key risks for timely resolution.
- Cross-Cybersecurity Support: Support Cybersecurity teams throughout their processes, with a focus on process enhancement, automation, and execution on administrative and lower priority efforts.
Job Duties
- Collaborate with business partners to manage Cybersecurity needs.
- Monitor adherence to Cybersecurity policies, standards, and controls.
- Engage with GMF Cybersecurity teams to identify, prioritize, plan, and execute Cybersecurity initiatives and internal projects.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand workloads and trends supporting key initiatives to effectively delegate tasks to cybersecurity resources.
- Demonstrated ability to follow a prioritization framework.
- Track, monitor, and report on key cybersecurity initiatives, milestones, deliverables, resources, remediation items, and/or findings through completion.
- Prepare reporting for various aspects of the Cybersecurity program.
- Identify opportunities for enhancements in efficacy and efficiency to current Cybersecurity processes, people, and technology.
- Effective planning, time management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- A results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements.
- Demonstrated interest and passion for cybersecurity, with relevant education, certifications, or work experience.
- Willingness to continuously improve skills and knowledge, and to pursue additional training and certifications to advance in the field.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology including principles, practices, and frameworks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Conform with all company policies and procedures.
- 3-5 years of experience in large and complex business environments with a successful track record working directly with senior level management required
- At least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following domains: Access Control, Telecom and Network Security, Cybersecurity Governance and Risk Management, Software Development Security, Cryptography, Security Architecture and Design, Operational Security, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery, Legal Regulations, Investigations and Compliance, Physical (Environmental) Security, IT or Security Audit, IT or Security Compliance required
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience strongly preferred
- Information Security Certifications strongly preferred
