The Sr. Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing the project management lifecycle for the organization's most complex, cross-functional enterprise projects designed to support GM and GMF in making strides towards achieving our strategic priorities. These projects often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. This individual will partner with others across the enterprise to ensure consistent application of the GPPM (Global Project Portfolio Management) processes and procedures, and will contribute to EPMO initiatives.

The Sr. Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing the project management lifecycle for the organization's most complex, cross-functional enterprise projects designed to support GM and GMF in making strides towards achieving our strategic priorities. This individual will partner with others across the enterprise to ensure consistent application of the GPPM (Global Project Portfolio Management) processes and procedures, and will contribute to EPMO initiatives.
In This Role You Will
- Drives cross-functional teams in the delivery of high-risk, complex programs/projects
- Proven experience leading and managing complex technical projects from conception to completion
- Leads program/project issue/risk management, remediation plans, and escalations across channels, - responsible for providing management direction in these areas and ensuring clear communication, consideration of all factors, generation of solution alternatives, and defined actionable plans.
- Lead and manage a diverse range of IT projects including software development, infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, system integrations, and data migrations while ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes.
- Ensures a consistent level of quality, accuracy, compliance to GPPM standards, state and federal regulations, and internal controls.
- Conducts ongoing examination of projects within the program for compliance with established processes, project plans/schedules and budgets, influencing decisions on resource utilization and allocation at key project lifecycle decision points.
- Maintains oversight and accountability for program performance including creation/review of key project delivery metrics across projects within the program.
- Prepares and delivers regular, audience-specific communications/reports/dashboards to ensure that program sponsors, key stakeholders, CIO and leadership are adequately apprised of program and project statuses, successes, risks and issues.
- Engages with project teams, business partners and stakeholders frequently on the status of key initiatives with respect to scope, schedule, cost, and resources; presents RAID logs.
- Administers the project change process when needed, formulating contingency plans to address schedule revisions, risks, costs, and scope.
- Maintains awareness of industry trends, practices, techniques and emerging technologies related to the project management discipline.

- Expertise in risk management, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks to ensure timely and successful delivery
- Skilled in generating and maintaining project forecasts, monitoring actualization, and analyzing resource needs
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and resolve impediments, providing status reports at multiple levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor the message based on the audience
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent related work experience required
- Master’s Degree preferred
- 4 years experience in project management role working on large and/or complex projects required
- Project Management Certification (PMP, PgMP, Agile, etc) preferred
- Agile/Scrum Certifications (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, etc) preferred
