Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Grounds Keeper to join our property management team in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting our team with maintaining the exterior of properties, ensuring that the grounds are well-kept and visually appealing. This includes performing various maintenance and landscaping tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general landscaping and grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, weeding, and planting.
- Clean and maintain outdoor areas such as walkways, parking lots, and common areas, ensuring they are free of debris.
- Maintain the proper functioning of outdoor equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and other tools.
- Remove trash and recycling from the grounds and dispose of it in the proper areas.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards, broken fixtures, or needed repairs on the property.
- Assist with snow removal and salting during the winter months.
- Collaborate with the property management team to coordinate seasonal activities and upgrades to the grounds.
- Follow safety guidelines and policies at all times, using equipment and tools safely.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment and tools (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
- Physical stamina to handle outdoor work and lifting of materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Good communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
