Assistant Controller
We are looking for a responsible, self-driven, and detail-oriented Assistant Controller who will work under the supervision of the Controller and assist in directing the organization’s accounting. The Assistant Controller will assist in managing accounts payable/receivable and cash. They will be responsible for some account reconciliations, assisting with monthly financial reporting, annual budgeting, inventory costing, and assisting with the annual financial audits. You must be able to work independently and with the highest level of integrity.

Assistant Controller
We are looking for a responsible, self-driven, and detail-oriented Assistant Controller who will work under the supervision of the Controller and assist in directing the organization’s accounting. The Assistant Controller will assist in managing accounts payable/receivable and cash. They will be responsible for some account reconciliations, assisting with monthly financial reporting, annual budgeting, inventory costing, and assisting with the annual financial audits. You must be able to work independently and with the highest level of integrity.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assisting with the development and evaluation of budgets and preparing budget reports.
- Assist with inventory controls, inventory costing, and physical inventory management.
- Ensuring all accounting practices are in compliance with internal controls, internal policies, GAAP, and legal guidelines.
- Analyzes financials and explains variances with clarity.
- Assists departments to keep spending within budget.
- Assists with preparations for audits.
- Uses SAGE accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
- Coordinates with and prepares reports for the controller and upper management weekly and monthly at minimum.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, required.
- Proven growth experience within an accounting department required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, clients, and vendors.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
