Part-Time Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong sales background. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers while driving sales and contributing to the overall success of our store.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
• Utilize upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively assist customers.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
• Assist in managing stock levels, including restocking shelves and organizing inventory.
• Ensure that the sales floor is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone.
• Support supervisory staff in training new associates and maintaining team morale.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of retail math to assist with inventory management and sales tracking.
• Proficient in cash handling procedures with attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing stock levels.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Experience with supervising or mentoring team members is a plus.
