What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at GMF Steel?
As a Material Handler, you will coordinate the daily and weekly deliveries of material. If you have a great attitude, strong work ethic, and are coachable, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Load and stage material according to schedule
- Coordinate with all applicable departments to ensure on-time delivery of material
- Participate in production meetings to communicate information to management
- Ensure a smooth delivery process and contribute to the team by continuing to find efficiencies
- Stage work area, establishing a tidy and safe environment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- CDL A license, required
- Flatbed experience
- Ability to operate a 20-ton forklift
- Proficient in Apple IOS and Android OS platforms
- Proficient in Tekla EPM GO, preferred
- Prolonged periods of standing/walking
- Ability to lift/carry up to fifty (50) pounds
Salary:
- $18-22/Hour
- Dependent upon experience
- Eligibility for performance bonuses
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 7 AM – 5:30 PM
- Work schedule flexibility is required
