Role Overview
As the Strategic Alliance/Business Development (BD) Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding GMI Cloud’s presence and partnerships in the U.S. market. This role is focused on cultivating strategic alliances, building relationships with AI companies and investors, and driving the growth of GPU Cloud services. Your efforts will directly influence GMI Cloud’s market positioning and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Business Development
- Forge and nurture partnerships with the top 25 LLM companies in the U.S., identifying and pursuing RFP opportunities and collaborating closely with the sales team to close deals.
- Proactively network with AI companies to identify new business opportunities and develop innovative solutions that address emerging market trends and client needs.
- Develop Strategic Partnerships
- Establish and strengthen relationships with NVIDIA's NCP account management and investment teams to identify collaborative opportunities and drive mutual growth.
- Cultivate strategic alliances with key ecosystem partners like Vast Data, Dell, Supermicro, HPE, Lenovo, ASUS to drive on sponsorships, joint initiatives (e.g., co-marketing campaigns, joint solution development), and other collaborative ventures.
- Build strong connections with with US GPU Cloud brokers to expand revenue channel
- Expand and Manage Vendor Network
- Identify and onboard new GPU Cloud and data center vendors (e.g., colocation services) to enhance GMI Cloud's ability to provide flexible and tailored solutions to our clients.
- Negotiate competitive terms and pricing with vendors and coordinate with the internal teams to ensure cost-effective service delivery and optimal value for our clients.
- Enhance Investor Relations
- Build and manage relationships with existing investors, ensuring alignment on strategic objectives
Qualifications
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in business development, with a strong preference for candidates who come from LLM companies, NVIDIA, NVIDIA NCP (e.g., CoreWeave, Lambda, Crusoe), or GPU Cloud-focused VCs.
- Technical Acumen: A solid understanding of GPU hardware, server infrastructure, and cloud technologies. Knowledge of AI Infra and the LLM landscape is a significant plus.
- Relationship Building and Communication: Exceptional skills in negotiation, partnership management, and relationship building. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively across functions with technical, sales, and product teams.
- Language Proficiency: Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English is preferred.
