THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE Incorporated in 1910, the City of Centerville is a Plan A Statutory City with a Mayor and a four-member Council. The Mayor serves a two-year term, and each of the four City Council Members serves four-year terms. The City Council appoints a City Administrator to serve as the Chief Administrative Officer of the City. Committees and Commissions include the Economic Development Authority (EDA), Parks & Recreation Committee, and the Planning and Zoning Commission. The City serves a population of 3,912 across 2.4 square miles with a 2025 budget of $3.5 million and a team of 8 FTEs across three departments: Administration, Finance, and Public Works. The City contracts for planning and engineering services, and police and fire services are provided through a joint powers agreement with the Centennial Lakes Police Department and Centennial Fire District.
