Summary
As a Construction Safety Manager at GMP Contracting LLC, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of all construction activities. This role is vital to our commitment to providing a safe working environment while delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify hazards.
- Provide training and support to employees on safety practices and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure safety measures are integrated into all phases of construction.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Monitor compliance with environmental health and safety regulations across all projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction safety management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective training and collaboration with team members.
- Demonstrated ability in risk management and hazard identification.
- Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
- Experience with workers compensation processes is beneficial but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Certifications in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST) are preferred.
