Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures
- Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality goals and objectives
- Label reviews and approvals to make they meet FDA regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with FDA regulations 21 CFR Part 111, HACCP guidelines, and other relevant industry standards
- Conduct QA/QC activities, including testing, sampling, and documentation
- Perform internal and external quality audits to assess compliance with quality systems
- Develop and maintain quality metrics to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong knowledge of CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) 21 CFR Part 111 and other relevant quality standards
- Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and equipment
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience in the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of spoken Spanish is a plus.
- Authors and/or reviews Quality Assurance related SOPs, while ensuring proper adherence to by subordinate Quality Assurance staff.
