JOB SUMMARY
This is a 412 EWG program management position capable of performing duties independently to assist in the management of numerous Research Development Test & Evaluation projects for the Electronic Warfare Group (EWG). These projects are in a variety of Project Management phases ranging from planning and provisioning to analysis, and reporting. Provides knowledge and experience in acquisition Project Management and general organizational workflow (philosophy, policies, and procedures) to procurement activities, project/program management tasks, acquisition programs and organizational activities. Support will not include counseling, mentoring, judgmental/discretionary decisions, or other activities related to supervision of Government personnel.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in updating/maintaining required program/business management documents, including but not limited to:
- Develop and deliver business management progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Attend project meetings, Project Management Reviews, Acquisition/Business Management Exchange Meetings, Process Reviews, and briefings given to JSE stakeholders (SIMAF, PAX, SDPE, AF/TE, etc.)
- Monitor project schedule, timelines, and milestones from initiation to delivery to meet program goals.
- Identify and assess project issues and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Serve as an interface and point of contact with Government program / business management representatives, on program / business management issues / concerns.
- Assist in the review of acquisition documents / work packages to ensure timely commitment / obligation of resources.
- Advise the JSE Program Manager on the most cost-effective action for compatibility with overall program objectives and implementation of recommendations.
- Participate in long and short range JSE program planning activities, analyzing available resources against program requirements, and providing viable solutions to potential shortfalls.
- Configuration Management Support
- Support the 445TS Configuration Management Office CM processes and day-to-day activities.
- Support Technical Interchange Meetings, System Requirements Reviews, Working Groups, Design Reviews, and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) to include any configuration management benchmarking or evaluation tests.
- Establish baselines, track change requests, and manage change of all JSE elements in accordance with the 445TS Configuration Management Standard Operating Procedures and CM guidelines.
- Assist with reviewing facility/equipment design documentation, drawings, and software requirements to provide advice to the JSE Program Manager with regard to managing all JSE baselines.
- Assist in the development of all required configuration management plans, schedules, tools, processes, and documents.
- Manage and update configuration management presentation materials.
- Participate in JSE technical reviews and provide technical assessments.
- Develop and prepare configuration management activity reports including tracking and reporting CM related metrics.
- Assist in the resolution of configuration management requirements issues and technical questions.
- Provide configuration management support to the JSE PM on plans, schedules, and briefings.

Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of project processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
- Must possess the ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects; the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of non-routine matters of diverse scope and nature; strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and the ability to work independently and lead in a team environment.
- Work is performed independently.
- May be required to oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific project.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- This skill level requires over 8 years of experience or a Bachelors degree in the applicable
- discipline.
- This skill level typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. This skill level may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
Qualification Substitutions:
- Bachelors Degree - 8 years’ work experience may be substituted for a Bachelors degree
SECURITY CLEARANCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to obtain an active U.S. TS/SCI clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
- Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.
- Do you have the ability to pass a background check to be granted access to the specific working location installation bases to perform work for GMRE?
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
TRAVEL REQUIRED
- Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.
Salary : $90,000 - $96,000
