Description
The Employee shall provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) in program/project and business management of RDT&E projects for the 412 Test Wing Groups and Divisions, to include Combined Test Forces (CTFs), for various aircraft platforms, systems, and associated facilities, in accordance with governing Operating Instructions, policies, and procedures.
Provides technical support, conducts data analysis, and applies knowledge of engineering technology under the direction of engineering staff. Types of tasks include test and evaluation, test support, logistics, sustainment, operations analyses, manufacturing product assurance, technical studies, and various analyses and support activities including cost/price, human factors, safety, program/system security, FMS/Arms Export, command and control, intelligence, reliability, and maintainability (R&M), quality assurance (QA), and technical and engineering capability to ensure operational safety, suitability, and effectiveness. Systems requiring support include, but are not limited to, aircraft, aerial targets, air combat training equipment, global positioning equipment, air base operability equipment, munitions, missiles, electronics, explosives, bombs, warheads, fuzes, guns, ammunition and AF Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position will provide the day-to- day maintenance planning and oversight for an assigned F-22 aircraft at Edwards AFB, CA in support of flight test operations. Lead aircraft production, provide technical assistance, and set maintenance priorities.
- Innovatively solve F22 maintenance and modification schedule requirements and overall production requirements to support developmental test to upgrade the aircraft and subsystems; work with multiple maintenance disciplines in an integrated workforce environment that consists of Military, Civil Service, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing employees.
- This position will ensure the workforce follows governing technical instructions, and local operating instructions. Provide assessment and advise to management on status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services efficiently and effectively support the flight test schedule.

Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Experience in leading 5th generation fighter maintenance operations, preferably on the F-22 aircraft.
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft common and special tools and test equipment, aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications and schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications.
- Working knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Level 3 - This skill level requires 3 to 10 years of experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the applicable discipline. This skill level typically performs all functional duties independently.
- Qualification Substitutions: Bachelor's Degree - 6 years’ work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree or associate degree plus 4 years’ work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Master's Degree - 12 years’ work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree plus 8 years work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum of an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
- Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.
- Must have the ability to pass a background check to be granted access to the specific working location installation bases to perform work for GMRE.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

- Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.
