Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in performing industrial maintenance tasks and possess a variety of technical skills to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. The candidate must be able to pass a background check and drug test, as well as have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Maintain and troubleshoot logic controllers to ensure optimal performance.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Fabricate components as needed to support maintenance tasks or facility improvements.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents.
- Conduct residential painting and other aesthetic improvements as required.
- Operate welding equipment for repairs or fabrication tasks when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory management.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and facilities maintenance practices.
- Proficient in the use of tools and equipment related to maintenance tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics in English.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
- Experience in supervising projects or teams is a plus.
- Familiarity with residential painting techniques is desirable.
- Welding skills are an asset but not mandatory for this role.
