GMS is actively searching to add several Underground Coal Miners to our expanding Southern Appalachian Team! These positions are primarily based out of the Richlands area and will consist of various mining tasks including equipment operation, laboring, basic maintenance, and other industry tasks.
Responsibilities
Work Schedule: 5 days/week, 40/hours/week, rotating shifts (MAD)
Pay Range: $21/hour

Responsibilities
- Perform various underground mining tasks
- Work as safe and efficiently as possible at all times
- Always wear proper PPE, gear, equipment
- Work productively alongside various members of the GMS Team
- Virginia Underground Black Hat Certification
- A minimum of 1-year underground mining experience
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, rotating days off and overtime as required
- Must possess valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Basic ability to speak, read and write English
