GMS is actively working to develop the next generation of Underground Coal Miners. To accomplish this, we’re conducting New Miner Training several times per month in Southwestern Pennsylvania. While no mining experience is required to gain consideration for these positions, ideal candidates will have previous labor experience, ideally in a similar industry such as construction, oil & gas, or something comparable.
Responsibilities
Work Schedule: 5 days/week, 40/hours/week, rotating shifts (MAD)
Pay Range: $20/hour

Responsibilities
- Perform various underground mining tasks
- Work as safe and efficiently as possible at all times
- Always wear proper PPE, gear, equipment
- Work productively alongside various members of the GMS Team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a 90-day preemployment hair follicle drug screening
- Some form of laboring background
- Mechanical, electrical, weld/fab experience highly preferred
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, rotating days off and overtime as required
- Basic ability to speak, read and write English
