Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

General Mechanical Services (GMS) Is seeking qualified Commercial HVAC techs to join or growing team in the Baltimore, MD / DC Area!

The ideal candidate should have strong evidence of troubleshooting experience with boilers, burners, chillers, pumps, and OEM Certifications. GMS Services Baltimore City Schools, Military Bases and other Govt properties within the tri state area, Applicant must be able to pass a stringent background check and be drug free.

This position is a Full-time permanent position in the 486 Union in the Baltimore, MD area starting at $45 per hour DOE Excellent benefits package.

Job Duties:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair various commercial and industrial heating and cooling systems (up to 70 tons applied and air chillers)
• Replace any heating, air conditioning, or refrigeration equipment, or complete systems.
• Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
• Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
• Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Job Qualifications:

• Candidates must have at least 5 years of prior experience working as an HVAC technician with heavy trouble shooting and repair experience.
• Proven experience with Chillers and/or Boilers and Burners.
• Factory training credentials are desired.
• OSHA 10 or better is preferred.
• Ability to use electronic ticketing systems.
• Candidates must have an EPA certification that is up to date and valid.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge and understanding of HVAC service techniques.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening.
• High School degree or equivalent.
