Summary
The employee will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, aligning with GMT’s strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include overseeing and delivering on key accounts as assigned, and working closely with sales, production, planning, supply chain, engineering, finance, quality, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure seamless customer interactions. The role involves handling order processing and resolving delivery issues, leading projects and initiatives, managing data entry and system operations, conducting reporting, research, and intelligence gathering, maintaining clear and effective communication with customers, and driving operations initiatives. The individual will be adept at using technology to achieve goals and, following initial training, will be proficient in ERP systems, SalesForce.com, Customer Portals, Microsoft Office, Teams, and other specific web applications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Customer Collaboration: Gather customer prints and 3D models; collaborate with the estimating team to process quotes accurately and promptly.
- Quote Management: Manage the quote approval process with precision and attention to detail, ensuring effective quote delivery and execution of the sales process.
- System Proficiency: Navigate, administrate, and manage SalesForce.com and ERP systems, including reporting, data gathering, and intelligence, to drive market decisions and other initiatives.
- Operational Alignment: Participate in Gemba walks with Operations to align on machining capability and capacity based on material, manpower, and machine availability.
- Customer Communication: Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding progress on issues related to quality, delivery, continuous improvement, and cost performance initiatives. Additionally, provide timely updates to address specific customer requests, such as changes in parts or machines due to customer line challenges.
- Problem Solving: Identify delivery problems proactively, use problem-solving skills to make recommendations to the Operations team, and effectively communicate challenges and potential solutions to customers.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position is indirectly responsible for leading managers of the division via performance delivery.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 6 years business-to-business sales organization experience.
