SUMMARY
A Teller I is a first point of contact for customers entering the Bank. A Teller I is responsible for providing basic paying and receiving services for deposits and loans in accordance with GNBank procedures. Additional responsibilities for a Teller I include delivering enhanced customer service by processing currency and coin orders, issuing money orders and official checks, and managing stop payments and account holds.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The following tasks are fundamental to the position and necessary for its successful execution:
- Provides excellent and knowledgeable customer service as a first line of customer interaction with either face-to-face contact or telephone support.
- Maintains consistent and punctual attendance by logging in on time for scheduled shifts.
- Processes simple to moderately complex teller transactions including, but not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments.
- Protects the Bank from unnecessary risk or exposure by being familiar with Bank procedures and confidentiality guidelines.
- Completes daily teller operations, including but not limited to, cash drawer security, daily balance of cash drawer, teller capture procedures, counterfeit currency detection, count and roll coins.
- Maintains a basic knowledge of deposit product offerings and relies on others to fully understand those offerings in order to gain the knowledge to discuss them as needed.
- Adheres to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, including but not limited to security protocols for robbery, fraud, opening/closing process, cash controls, and teller procedures.
- Maintains knowledge and demonstrates ability to use teller, core, and ancillary support systems.
- Treats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works ethically and with integrity, upholds the organizational values, accepts responsibility for own actions.
- Consistently applies sound decision-making techniques when handling inquiries, approvals, and requests within assigned approval limits.
- OTHER DUTIES

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- High school diploma or equivalent
