What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Teller position at GNBank?
Bank Hours:
- Monday through Thursday – 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM*
- Friday – 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM*
- Saturday – 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM*
- (* Allowed up to 30 hours each week. Must be flexible and expect to work most Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.)
Essential duties:
- Support business development efforts by providing excellent and knowledgeable customer service as a first line of customer contact either with face to face contact or telephone support.
- Demonstrate and display a positive image and team work ethic.
- Provide excellent customer service on a routine basis by answering customer inquiries, resolving customer issues and concerns, taking and processing customer transactions.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and precisely, keeping cash drawer in balance throughout daily processes.
- Maintain a basic knowledge of association product offerings and rely on others to fully understand those offerings in order to gain the knowledge to discuss them as needed.
- Identify cross selling opportunities on other bank products and refer to appropriate Customer Service Representative to meet those needs.
- Maintain knowledge and demonstrate ability to use IT systems used in every day job responsibilities.
- Perform duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.
- Assume responsibility for various department functions in the absence of staff members or in overload situations.
- Follow policies and procedures, complete tasks correctly and on time, supports the Bank’s goals and values.

Education Requirement:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Other Skills:
- General knowledge of office equipment and systems used for the storage and retrieval of business information.
- Specialized knowledge of written correspondence principles.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
- Basic skill level in Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic teller operations and procedures, including but not limited to regulatory compliance.
- Strong work ethic that supports a willingness to handle multiple tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
