This role will play a critical part in analyzing financial performance, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to optimize operations and support the company’s growth objectives in the material handling sector.
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
- Analyze and forecast key financial metrics, including revenue, costs, margins, and capital expenditures, specific to the material handling business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and validate assumptions for accurate forecasting
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods, identifying variances and trends.
- Provide actionable insights into operational efficiency, pricing strategies, and cost management within the material handling business.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management, highlighting key drivers of performance.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate new opportunities, including adding product lines, market expansions, and capital investments.
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives.
- Support the evaluation of mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Analyze cost structures and profitability across product lines, customer segments, and geographic regions.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Work closely with operations teams to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to material handling equipment and services.
- Conduct fleet management activities and analyses.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and address specific business challenges.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting capabilities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting the material handling business.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
- At least two years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a business environment focused on material handling or industrial sectors.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining financial models and conducting detailed financial analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize demands and execute tasks.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.
