Food Service Associate - Deli

Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their deli selections.
• Prepare and serve deli items including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area in accordance with health regulations.
• Operate the POS system efficiently to process customer transactions.
• Ensure all products are stocked and displayed attractively.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow during peak hours.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers regarding menu items.

Experience

• Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or grocery store is preferred.
• Familiarity with kitchen operations, culinary practices, or restaurant environments is a plus.
• Serve Safe Certification preferred not required
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Experience with sanitation practices to ensure food safety standards are upheld.
