Project Description:
The client is seeking an IT Security Analyst to support the VDOT in ensuring the security of its information systems. This role involves implementing security measures, ensuring compliance with state policies, and addressing key areas such as identity management, IT risk management, and security incident response.
Responsibilities:
- Document processes and executive summaries for both technical and business audiences.
- Provide insights into Security Architecture and IT governance.
- Research and guide alignment with security policies and standards.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams on security strategies.
- Support compliance, risk analysis, and security controls.
- Design and implement enterprise security solutions.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Information Security principles and trends.
- Experience in identity & access management, IT risk management, and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and state security standards.
- Effective communication skills (written and oral) for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Technical expertise in cloud technologies, AI, vulnerability management, and security tools.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage security initiatives.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with NIST frameworks and security governance.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving skills.
