Job Title: Inventory Specialist
Full time Days – Monday – Thursday 7am - 4pm & Friday 7am -1pm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to manage and maintain inventory accuracy, oversee shipping and receiving, and efficiently stage jobs based on pull lists. The ideal candidate will ensure inventory levels are maintained, shipments are processed correctly, and materials are staged accurately for upcoming jobs, supporting smooth operations and workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Control:
- Maintain accurate inventory records through routine cycle counts and audits.
- Track and update stock levels to prevent shortages or overages.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of inventory for easy identification and access.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Utilize inventory management systems to track and manage stock movements.
Shipping & Receiving:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Document and report any damaged or missing items.
- Organize and store received items in designated locations.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and coordinating with carriers.
- Maintain shipping records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Staging Jobs (Pull List Management):
- Review and interpret pull lists to gather materials for upcoming jobs.
- Accurately stage materials in designated areas to ensure efficient workflow.
- Communicate with team members regarding job readiness and material availability.
- Assist in maintaining organization within the staging area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or inventory management are a plus.
- 2 years of experience in inventory control, shipping/receiving, or a related field.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing setting with periods of standing, lifting, and moving inventory.
- Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred but not required).
