Position Overview:
As the New Business Development and Territory Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding our client base of turf installers, dealers, and mats distributors. Your ability to effectively cultivate new business through cold calling, marketplace intelligence, relationship building and solid communication is critical for the success of this role. Experience Needed:
· Proven experience in turf sales with a history of rapid sales conversion
· Has demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Marketplace intelligence
· Strong relationships
· Thorough knowledge of the overall turf industry and opportunities within the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for growing turf market share within assigned territory
- Create and foster relationships with clients, seek gaps and identify Go Green turf solutions
- Cross-functional communication with sales, marketing, and operations staff to develop programs and initiatives
- Must be well organized, a great planner and demonstrates the ability to prioritize efficiently
- Analyzes and informs senior management of industry, product, economic, and other changes that may impact sales and overall company business; provides timely summary of activities in the field and special reporting to assist in the business and product planning.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Frequent travel for face-to-face interaction with potential clients
Qualifications:
· Proven experience (3 or more years) in outside turf sales
· Candidate can demonstrate the ability to quickly convert clients to Go Green turf solutions.
· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
· Creative thinker with a strong business acumen and a passion for sales and driving growth.
· Experience in the floor covering, turf, or textile industry.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time position and candidate must live inside the sales territory
