Complete Description:
The agency is seeking a Drupal Developer with experience developing and maintaining Drupal websites and a comprehensive understanding of web development principles and technologies. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of Drupal architecture, modules, and theming and expertise in content management, development, and editing.
The resource will support the application development operations and maintenance of the DFS intranet website. Responsibilities include creating and editing website content and developing and constructing web elements to enhance the intranet's functionality. Proficiency in front-end development and programming is essential to creating effective and interactive web components.
Daily responsibilities involve monitoring and maintaining website content. New interface elements will be developed, tested, and deployed based on specific requests or requirements. Additionally, site performance will be continuously monitored, promptly resolving any issues. The resource will troubleshoot and resolve problems related to the web interface, prioritizing tasks based on the severity of the issues.
The resource will be responsible for building, maintaining, and customizing the site. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to understand their needs and contribute to developing innovative solutions. Equally important is ensuring compliance with all agency security standards, web design frameworks, and other relevant requirements.
Responsibilities
· Collaborate with stakeholders and project managers to ensure project objectives are achieved.
· Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
· Ensure website security and optimal performance.
· Work with stakeholders and team members to clarify requirements and implement detailed designs as needed.
· Maintain solution documentation.
· Support ongoing maintenance and updates of Drupal sites, troubleshoot issues, and apply security and functionality patches.
Qualifications & Expertise:
Experience with Drupal theming and module development
5 years of hands-on web development experience (Drupal 7/8/9 experience)
Strong understanding of web development principles and technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
Experience with District resources, including OCTO policies and technology stack
Strong documentation skills
Experience with version control systems, such as Git
