Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished and results-driven Senior Vice President of Sales to lead high-impact sales initiatives in the financial technology space. As an individual contributor reporting directly to the Head of Sales, the SVP will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, managing strategic client relationships, and closing high-value deals with top-tier banking clients. This role requires a deep understanding of the financial technology landscape, an established network within the banking industry, and exceptional sales execution skills.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth
- Own and achieve ambitious individual revenue targets, contributing to the organization’s overall growth goals.
- Identify and close high-value sales opportunities, with a focus on multimillion-dollar deals.
Strategic Account Management
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including SVP, EVP, and CXO-level executives in top U.S. banks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
Business Development and Market Expansion
- Identify new markets, customers, and opportunities within the banking and fintech sectors.
- Collaborate with marketing and presales teams to create targeted campaigns and solutions for strategic accounts.
Sales Execution
- Lead end-to-end sales processes, including prospecting, solution presentations, negotiations, and contract closures.
- Provide insights and feedback to the Head of Sales on market trends and customer needs to refine go-to-market strategies.
Industry Expertise
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Position the company as a trusted advisor in the banking and fintech ecosystem.
Qualifications
Experience:
- A minimum of 12 years of sales experience, with a strong track record of individual sales contributions.
- Proven expertise in selling software, SaaS, or professional services to commercial banking clients.
- Experience managing complex, long-cycle sales deals with an average value of $750K or more.
- Skills:
- Exceptional relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities for high-value deals.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and pipeline management.
- Strategic mindset with a results-driven approach to sales execution.
Preferred Attributes
- Deep network and established relationships within the top 250 banks in the U.S.
- Knowledge of banking subdomains such as treasury, payments, lending, and card services.
- Strong understanding of API development, quality assurance, data migration, and customer experience solutions.
- Resides or is open to relocation to key banking hubs (Charlotte, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, or Houston).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of individual revenue targets on a quarterly and annual basis.

- Travel: 50% or more to engage with clients and represent the company at industry events.
