Job Title: Welder, Fabricator
Hours : 8AM – 5PM
Direct Reports: Maintenance Manager

Primary Job Function:
Plastic Extrusion Manufacturing Plant has immediate opening for a Welder-Fabricator. The Welder-Fabricator position encompasses Production Welding, Fabrication and Quality responsibilities. Duties include analyzing blueprints, welding jobs, maintaining production standards, producing consistently accurate work while following all safety guidelines.
Job Duties:
1. Correctly welds pieces of metal together.
2. Prepares materials for welding, cuts, grinds, and cleans metal.
3. Utilizes fabrication skills to complete all phases of fabrication.
4. Provides feedback and input into the fabrication process regarding order of assembly, design, materials, fixtures, and jigs.
5. Ensures correct documentation and processes are followed for standardized work process.
6. Annotates and marks up blueprints for future references.
7. Produces work daily that is consistently accurate.
8. Follow all safety guidelines including wearing all PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Strong welding-fabrication knowledge, industrial mechanical maintenance is a plus.
2. 3-5 years work experience with all aspects of welding-fabrication.
3. Ability to read and understand blueprints, including welding diagrams and symbols.
4. Ability to use hand tools and other equipment needed.
5. Required to have an understanding of fabrication processes.
6. Must be able to work well independently and with others.
7. Ability to make sound decisions.
8. Education: High School or equivalent.
