Job description
Piping Technology Company is seeking a hard-working and dedicated Rail Car Loading/Unloading Laborer at a gas storage facility.
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading/unloading of products into railcars and semi trucks.
- Start, stop, and operate railcar equipment
- Ensures that the rail car is positioned and secured at the loading rack
- Identify and report safety or environmental concerns
- Communicate with facility personnel via radio to advise the status of the transfer and report any problems that occur
- Compile and/or maintain information such as time sheets, safety forms, and work logs
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 12-hour shift- working 7 days on/7 days off
- Loading product into fuel truck.
Job Qualifications:
- Must be able to follow safety standards and be safety conscious at all times
- 18 years old or older and legally able to work in U.S.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively
- Ability to communicate and/or exchange information and instructions
- Stable work history
- Pass a drug screen
- Regular attendance and punctually is required
- Hours are 3:30 - 3:30 7 days on-7 days off schedule
Physical Requirements:
- Work outside in environmental conditions, which may include extreme heat or cold
- Climb stairs and ladders
- Lift 50 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
