We are seeking a Web Designer Contractor to join our team on a project basis. This role is perfect for a talented and creative web designer passionate about user experience, responsive design, and digital storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & develop visually compelling, responsive websites that align with client branding and objectives.
- Wireframing & Prototyping – Create mockups, wireframes, and prototypes using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Collaboration – Work with content creators, developers, and marketing teams to ensure seamless website functionality.
- UI/UX Optimization – Implement best practices for user experience, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
- Website Maintenance – Assist with updates, redesigns, and performance enhancements for existing websites.
- SEO & Performance – Ensure website designs are optimized for search engines and page speed.
- Client Interaction – Present design concepts and iterate based on feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 2 years of web design experience, preferably in an agency or freelance setting.
- Design Proficiency: Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma, or similar design tools.
- Development Knowledge: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (coding is a plus but not required).
- CMS Experience: Familiarity with WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify.
- Portfolio: Strong portfolio highlighting previous web design projects.
- Communication: Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for typography, color, layout, and branding consistency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing for digital marketing campaigns.
- Knowledge of responsive frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS).
- Understanding of UX research and A/B testing.
- Ability to integrate animations and interactive design elements.
