Position: Billing Specialist
We’re looking for someone with billing experience who is detail-oriented, reliable, and ready to join a collaborative and positive work environment. As part of our family, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our billing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Claims for submissions/resubmissions
- Work Rejections/Denials for a variety of payers
- Be the key account contact for questions and issues
- Keeps up to date with payer rule changes and billing procedures
- Responsible for Payments and all other claim activities and timely reimbursement of receivables
Education and Experience
- Practical knowledge of Commercial payers, Medicaid, and Medicare.
- Expertise with ICD and CPT coding.
- Previous experience in use of electronic practice management system(s) including practice management system set-up and reporting.
- Microsoft office proficiency (Word, Outlook and Excel) highly desired.
- Three years’ previous health care billing/revenue cycle operations experience including knowledge of denials management, eligibility processing and electronic payment posting desired.
- Experience with 1500 claims processing
- Ability to use independent judgment to complete tasks
- Ability to maintain a very high level of confidentiality
