GO Physical Therapy is currently seeking a candidate to fill a combined role as both Receptionist and Physical Therapy Tech at our Children's Rehab Center in Hastings. This position will offer 35 - 40 hours with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off and company match 401k. DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
· Provides receptionist support for the clinic.
- Answer telephone and relay calls and messages to the appropriate staff members.
- Greet patients, family members, and visitors courteously.
- Schedule patient appointments and keep schedule up to date and accurate.
- Gather patient demographics and billing information.
- Assists patients in completing paperwork.
- Admit all new patients in a timely, accurate fashion.
- Prior to a new evaluation, calls and verifies appointment time and date with patient.
- Assist with assigning daily patient treatment schedule.
- Manage waiting room.
- Responsible for filing of Document Management.
- Responsible for discharge process of patients.
· Gathers necessary administrative information, includes, but not limited to:
- Accepting and processing patient payments as needed.
- Arrangement of interpreters.
- Faxing or calling for additional scripts.
· Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
· Continually communicate and interact with co-workers in a professional and positive manner.
- Respect and interact appropriately with co-workers.
- Openly communicate with Department Director.
- Good attendance, notifying Director during absences.
- Exemplify overall positive attitude at work.
- Identify problems and constructively participate in problem resolution.
- Demonstrate positive rapport with staff members developing positive employee relations.

Provides physical therapy tech support for the clinic.
- Provides patient care support to the patients and staff.
- Greet and direct patients to treatment booths.
- Gather the appropriate treatment equipment as indicated on patient treatment records.
- Provide assistance or may apply treatment to patients under the direction of the Therapist or Therapist's Assistant. Treatment may include applying hot or cold packs, aligning electrical stimulation electrodes, and massage.
- Listen to patient concerns, needs, and responses and make notes on the patient's treatment records and relay information to the Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Remove used or soiled towels, padding, and pillows form treatment rooms and replace with clean ones. Assure treatment rooms are prepared for the next patient.
- Maintain supplies by assuring there is an adequate supply of pads, filled gel bottles, and heat packs. Wash and fold laundry and stack on shelves.
- Clean equipment after patient use.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Work is performed in an office or therapy clinic environment.
· Frequently operates a computer, telephone and other office equipment to perform duties
. Physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, and lifting.
. Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
· Inside under normal temperature conditions, adequate light, ventilation, and space. Works frequently with others, occasionally alone. Moderate exposure to noise typical of an office environment.
· Exposure to blood-borne pathogens, body fluids, equipment, and cleaning chemicals minimal with training and strict adherence to established department safety policies and procedures.
