Job Title: Technical Project Coordinator

Functional Area: Development

Reports to: Director of Technology

FLSA Status: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Technical Project Coordinator is responsible for providing high level support and analysis to ensure the successful execution of technology-driven projects. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and collaborating with the development team to ensure department projects remain on schedule, acting as a liaison for other company stakeholders, and creating detailed documentation of all projects from requirements gathering through deployment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and has an understanding of both technical and project management processes.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:

  • Collaborates with the development team to research, identify, and recommend new system additions or process changes.
  • Enter all tasks into our project management system (Jira) and record project updates as necessary.
  • Work with the development team to design system solutions, assist with system testing, and validate results against business requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and report identified hazards to management with recommendations for mitigation and improvement.
  • Responsible for creating detailed analysis documentation; including but not limited to business cases, process flow diagrams, and system specifications.
  • Produce detailed release notes and user guides for how to use applications and systems when they are updated and coordinate knowledge transfer to department heads. Work with department leadership to provide training and information required to promote new system upgrades and process changes.
  • Provide project coordination support services by documenting the planning and progress of all department projects to ensure that milestones and deadlines are met and system continuity is upheld.
  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholder team leadership to address and document questions and/or concerns throughout a project lifecycle.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

SKILLS AND CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail in documentation.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to deliver clear and concise directions.
  • Working knowledge of or the ability and desire to quickly learn about projects and products being developed.
  • High level of proficiency in various software systems including Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Jira.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a project management, web development, or technical support environment.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira.
  • Basic working knowledge of software development processes and technologies used in applications.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in the use of technology, including Google Drive applications and Microsoft products.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Regularly required to use hands for repetitive computer keyboard use, mouse use and to perform simple grasping

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
