Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our NEMT team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and dispatching drivers to transport clients to and from their appointments. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and dispatch drivers for client pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Monitor and track vehicle locations and driver status.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and healthcare facilities.
- Handle incoming calls and address client inquiries and concerns.
- Ensure timely and efficient transportation services.
- Maintain accurate records of trip assignments, driver logs, and client information.
- Coordinate with other team members to optimize route planning and improve service efficiency.
- Respond to emergencies and unexpected changes in schedule promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics, transportation, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience as a dispatcher, preferably in the transportation or NEMT industry.
