Job Summary
As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced cafe environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment to brew beverages
- Assist customers in choosing menu items and provide recommendations
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register or POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area
- Restock supplies as needed and ensure inventory levels are sufficient
- Uphold food safety standards and follow proper hygiene procedures
Requirements
- Experience in the food industry is preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of retail math for handling transactions and sales
- Ability to work well in a team environment and assist colleagues as needed
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with patrons in a friendly manner
- Familiarity with basic math for measuring ingredients and calculating orders
- Prior experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
