Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students of all ages and be open to private and group lessons. We would prefer a multi-instrumentalist with good foundational knowledge of at least piano, guitar, or drums. Student base will primarily be beginners and young children. We work with many students of varying backgrounds and abilities including special needs and neurodivergent students. Ability to read music, strong knowledge of music theory, and reliable transportation is required.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging music lessons for students
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist students in developing their musical abilities and talents
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience
Requirements
- Previous experience working with preschool or school-aged children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan and execute effective lesson plans
- Background in childcare, tutoring, or classroom teaching is preferred
-Knowledge of music production and tools is preferred but not required
This is a contract position with flexible hours. High demand times are afternoons and evenings. Weekend availability would be a bonus, but not required. You set your own schedule. Pay is determined by lessons provided.
