Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City’s leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults through-out Manhattan and New York City. Program Description: Goddard Riverside’s Manhattanville (MNVL) Resource Center is a social service hub located in West Harlem in the MNVL NYCHA development, and which exclusively serves its residents. The MNVL Resource Center helps low-income individuals and families access and receive entitlements, benefits and resources. The MNVL Resource Center also offers an array of services including but not limited to, benefits screening, financial counseling, legal consultation and referrals to support services in the community and citywide.
Position Summary: The Manhattanville Resource Center is looking for a highly motivated individual to support intergenerational and community engagement efforts. In collaboration with the Resource Center staff, this role supports program recruitment efforts and helps with residents’ engagement in programming.
Schedule: Monday-Friday Part time position/Occasional evening/weekend hours may be required. (10AM-2PM or 1PM-5PM)
Hourly Rate: $20-$24 per hour
Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.

- Promote the MNVL Resource Center services among residents.
- Refer residents in need to the Program Coordinator and Case Managers.
- Report metrics on all services provided to the residents.
- Track and provide outcomes
- Meet with Tenant Association members/resident leaders.
- In collaboration with the Program Coordinator, work on marketing and outreach efforts to successfully engage residents.
- Coordinate activities, workshops, fairs, focus groups etc. as per tenants’ interests.
- Organize and manage on- and off-site activities, and workshops for residents, including scheduling, securing resources (space, food, etc.), and ensuring smooth execution.
- Support community-based initiatives and represent the MNVL Resource Center at tabling events, Community Board meetings, activities hosted by elected officials, and local CBO events.
- Contribute to special projects when needed.
- Collaborate with Program Coordinator and Case Managers to ensure cohesive program delivery and effective residents support.
- Attend staff meetings, community meetings, case conferences, training programs and supervision meetings; participate in program evaluation and improvement.
- Work as a member of an active team and respond flexibly to a fluid and evolving program environment.
- High school diploma and 1-2 years’ experience working with diverse and underserved populations
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
- Experience working with low-income populations
- Knowledge of government benefits
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Communication skills
- Team player
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook, Word, Excel
- Able to use or learn electronic databases such as Single Stop
