Overview
Godfrey's Flagship Restaurant is seeking an experienced and highly organized Restaurant Expeditor to join our team. As an expeditor, you will be the key liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of food orders to our guests. Your role will involve streamlining communication, overseeing order accuracy, and maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow between the back and front of the house.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Order Flow: Ensure that all food orders are prepared and delivered to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Quality Control: Inspect orders for accuracy and presentation before they are sent to guests.
- Maintain Communication: Serve as the communication hub between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, making sure all orders are processed and delivered correctly and promptly.
- Manage Timing: Ensure that food is prepared and served within the appropriate time frames to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any discrepancies in orders, customer complaints, or delays to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Assist with Special Requests: Communicate dietary restrictions or special guest requests to the kitchen team.
- Stock and Supply Management: Ensure the kitchen is stocked with necessary supplies and assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years working in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment, with at least 2 years of experience as an expeditor or in a similar role.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality control.
- Multitasking: Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate well with others to ensure a smooth operation.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to stay calm and think quickly under pressure.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Fast reflexes and ability to respond quickly to changing conditions.
