Summary
We are seeking a Hygiene Assistant to join our dynamic team at Godley Station Dental. This role is essential in providing support to our hygienists and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. Located in Pooler, GA, you will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in patient care.
Responsibilities.
- Manage patient scheduling and ensure timely appointments.
- Take and develop X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage documentation.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Assist dental hygienists with preparing treatment rooms and patient setups.
- Maintain strict cleanliness and infection control protocols in accordance with dental practice regulations.
- Sterilize instruments and equipment following cross-contamination procedures.
- Ensure hygiene materials and supplies are fully stocked in treatment rooms.
- Disinfect and clean treatment areas between patients.
- Handle clinical waste and maintain safe disposal procedures.
- Support administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling and record keeping, as needed.
- Provide excellent patient care, making patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visit.
- Follow all health and safety procedures as set by the practice and governing bodies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience in a hygiene assistant role preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is highly preferred.
- Ability to take X-rays and understand radiographic techniques.
- Knowledge of dental sterilization and infection control protocols (training provided if needed).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with good communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
