Job Summary:
The Installation Technician – Hydraulic Plumbing is responsible for installing hydraulic systems, hoses, pumps, and plumbing components on dump truck bodies and equipment. This position requires mechanical ability, attention to detail, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install hydraulic hoses, fittings, pumps, and controls on truck bodies and equipment according to work orders and schematics.
- Measure, cut, and route hydraulic hoses and plumbing lines properly.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic equipment.
- Test hydraulic systems for leaks and proper function after installation.
- Troubleshoot and correct hydraulic plumbing issues as needed.
- Work with welders, fabricators, electricians, and paint technicians to complete the build process.
- Keep accurate records of parts used and work completed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Communicate any issues, missing parts, or delays to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and plumbing installation — Mechanical experience is preferred but not required (we will train motivated individuals).
- Ability to read and follow schematics, instructions, and work orders.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move heavy parts (up to 75 lbs.) during the shift.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive work attitude.
Preferred Skills (but not required):
- Previous experience with hydraulic systems, plumbing, or heavy equipment installation.
- Forklift experience or willingness to be trained.
- Basic troubleshooting skills.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
